Last weeks of the year always mean good Surfs and reflection time. 2014 was no different; chasing waves down south.

Quick trip to Jaen to feel the limestone of Reguchillo; neither the best nor, the worst. Everywhere smells good – Andalusian olive oil being brewed. Happy new 2015 endeavours.

A few weeks of the Boulder Sintra Team’s (BST) winter were devoted to send old problems at Tapada and opening new ones; some of the recently discovered stones have futuristic lines waiting to be climbed…Pena on-fire.

Alex motivated with the harsh Abelha Maia, Peninha. Sintra’s fairy tale it’s a long one…

Back we went to Mito Alentejano. Macau doing the second ascent of the big ex-libris Pantanal; no words to define the quality of this boulder...Top out, please send the rope to get down!

Weekend back to Mito Alentejano for another friendly meeting on the rocks. Nice team work on Pantanal; here Macau doing his (2nd) ascent of the “high” quality line.

How would you translate to E grades a slightly overhanging, 8A difficulty route; which is, a well protected crack climb on its first 8 meters; hard moves out left, poorly backed up by 2 micro cams (3 meters under the feet); right hand crimp to fast place a bomber Super Light Offset Rock 4 in a flared seam; crux boulder problem and final 6 meters sequence with, brief stop in between trying to correctly place the cams of a Zero 6 in an irregular hole...E8 7A / E9 6C???? Kind of confused but, that's Deboshe Total; fun climbing and send in the basalt of Casal Pianos.
